Individual Counseling

Many individuals face rising pressures of anxiety, depression, adjustment to new situations, or difficulty in coping with the events that life has brought to you. Individual Counseling is meant to identify and restore an individual to their whole so that they can function better in various environments. Individual Counseling generally begins with building a working relationship of trust and empathy to help overcome general apprehension. Various topics include but are not limited to:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Relationship Issues
  • Parenting Struggles
  • Identity Issues
  • Bipolar
  • Suicidal Thoughts
  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Family
  • Eating concerns
  • Difficulty Sleeping
  • Chronic Pain
  • Anger Issues
  • Aging and Health Concerns
  • Phobias

Couples Counseling

Couples face many difficulties throughout their relationship. Communication, emotional sharing, building trust, love, sex, and children are all difficult areas that can impede in the functioning of a healthy couple. Within couples counseling, we will work to identify individual needs and how each individual can work to help meet their partner’s needs with clear communication and open emotional expression.

Group Counseling

The power of a community coming together to help instill hope and teach is more powerful than one single therapist. Group Counseling offers individuals the opportunity to work in a safe environment and truly challenge their mental health needs. Group Counseling is scary and difficult, but the expert services at D&A Counseling allow for individuals to work toward change and address interpersonal concerns, feeling alone with their mental health concerns, and learn ways to build and foster more emotional and cohesive relationships with others.

This is a powerful tool that allows the provision of mental health services, individual and group therapies, via remote sites. These services allow for the opportunity for individuals to connect with their therapist via electronic communications (i.e. FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype) from their homes. Using technology can allow individuals who may struggle with transportation, illness, temporary financial constraints, or for other mental health reasons. The other added benefit to these services is that they are available to all individuals with the State of Texas. If you are in Texas, we can provide services to you.
